I will be starting a series where I do game notes for major sports leagues. I willa also do POTD and POTW and keep a top 5 for who has the most each season. Here are my notes from yesterday.

Guardians, 5

Diamondbacks, 0

Good game from the Guardians to get back on their feet after a 2-Game L Streak. Amazing pitching performance from Gavin Williams with 10 Ks and only allowing 1 Hit in only 5.2 IP. I've got Gavin Williams as the Player of The Game. The Diamondbacks offense was not doing much today as Gavin Williams is one of the best pitchers in the league even though the ERA doesnt show it.

Red Sox, 8

Dodgers, 4

This was the game that ended the Boston Red Sox 3-Game Sweep of the the best team in the league which was a amazing statement win. After starting off the season bad the Red sox have had the best record and 7th best ERA since the All-Star Break. For the POTG i have Masataka Yoshida after going 2/4, with 1 HR, 2 Rbis, and 1 XBH.

Astros, 7

Rangers, 3

The Astros are now leasing the AL West division and finally helping Yordan Alvarez. Kumar Rocker had another subpar performance wirh allowing 10 Hits and 3 ER in 5.1 IP he is now at 4-8 on the season and it is sad to see him fall of after being a great pitcher. The POTG is obviously Yordan Alvarez going 4/5 with 2 Rbis and 3 XBH to add more to his case for AL MVP who i think is far and ahead the MVP.

Finally, the POTD was Yordan Alvarez for me and it wasnt particularly close. He didn't have a HR but his impact otherwise was massive and he was one of the big reasons the Astros got another game ahead in the AL West against their Division Rivals. After looking like it would be another year of bad Astros baseball they have majorly turned it around.
