Using this to rate the JJ Peterka trade, since that's what the Bruins used their pick for. I honestly like the trade. Yes, 2 first round picks is an overpay for a guy who only scored 47 points last year, but I love the potential in him. He's only 24 years old, and I think he'll develop well. While Don Sweeney has shown a complete inability to draft players, he's been great at trading for young guys. Marat Khusnutdinov and Fraser Minten were awesome last year, both young guys Sweeney traded for. And as a right winger, Peterka won't have the expectations to be the superstar first line guy with Pastrnak already filling that role. That 2nd line last year was amazing with Mittelstadt-Zacha-Arvidsson. With Arvidsson a free agent and Mittelstadt and Zacha only having one year left on their contract, the 2nd line will need some new guys. Obviously, you hope Khustnutdinov, Hagens, and Minten can become stars but all 3 can't be first liners with Pasta there. (continued in replies) -->
