I’m looking at this from a Bucs perspective. They had a fantastic draft! It was a surprise that Rueben Bain Jr. fell all the way to Tampa Bay at 15. They desperately needed pass rush help and they got a game wrecker. Inside linebacker was another need and they addressed that in round 2 with Josiah Trotter. This is the pick I’m most skeptical on. He’s good downhill and hits hard, but struggles in pass coverage. Coverage over the middle has been a struggle for the Bucs, and I don’t know if Trotter fixes it. He does have what is described as a “contagious energy,” so his viewpoint is important. Really liked Hurst in Rd. 3 and loved Scott in Rd.4. He’s a perfect scheme fit. Rest of the picks were solid help for either depth or special teams. This whole offseason has been about getting fire starters and changing the attitude of this team. The Bucs did so with this draft. No excuses for a Todd Bowles this season.
