The verdict is in: the NFL's decision to make the Draft a traveling showcase each year delivers another spectacle in Pittsburgh. With a 3 Day attendance of 805,000, it smashes the previous record of 775,000 set by Detroit back in 2024. That is so many people. I really appreciate the stage design and production that goes in to making the green room and the hallway walk out a little WWE-esque. Fernando Mendoza going 1st overall but choosing to stay home with his family (his mom is bound to a wheelchair) was a little deflating for the broadcast, but impossible not to respect. The Jets at 2 take David Bailey, who looks like a stud, though history says tread carefully (Where are they now? Zach Wilson edition). Overall, not a ton of top-end talent, but no shortage of entertainment. Energy carried the weekend and now know that Sean McVay does not like Ty Simpson.
