Top fan take from @FlameRaptorRaven: “Wales and Bosnia have so few major tournament appearances between them, they both wanted this bad. The spirit of Gareth Bale was needed to fuel the Welsh national team as neither Wales nor Bosnia-Herzegovina could create much in the 1st half. In the 2nd half, there was a shift. Bale’s spirit finally found a vessel in the body of Dan James who blasted a shot into the top of the net to make it 1-0 for Wales. He nearly scored a 2nd that went off the bar. Bosnia were on the ropes, they turned to a man who is an icon for their nation. The only man to ever score for Bosnia at a major tournament, Edin Dzeko found a way and tied it up to give us extra time. Wales dominated extra time. Chance after chance, cross after cross and yet Bosnia stood tall. We got penalties and it started out horrifically for Bosnia as they missed their first penalty. Luckily, their goalkeeper, who had been clutch all game long, made 2 massive saves to turn the tide and set Bosnia—Herzegovina for the victory.”
