On paper, San Diego played a really great game, but the Timbers would be the team all over the scoresheet! Portland opened the scoring pretty early on which was followed by what would turn out to be San Diego’s only goal on the night! That sent this game to halftime tied, but it wouldn’t stay tied long as the Timbers took back the lead just six minutes into the second half! San Diego made a solid push to tie this game, but it was Portland again as they scored the brace this time! San Diego closed out this game in controlling fashion with the Timbers just sitting back as Portland is able to earn a pretty dominant three points!
