The Rocky Mountain Cup only saw one goal in this edition, as the Rapids found one early in the 2nd half to pull off the victory. With Minnesota's draw and Real Salt Lake's loss, this puts them in 10th place on the outside looking in for a playoff spot, while Colorado sits in 7th, not entirely safe. A huge game in which both teams entered level in the standings and the Rapids took full advantage of the opportunity.

Real Salt Lake did a level of nothing I once thought impossible. Salt Lake never got a single half decent chance. Colorado on the other hand, found a ton of really strong opportunities. They were only able to find the back of the net on one of them, but that would be way more than enough. I truly have no idea what how Salt Lake played that bad. The Rapids cruise their way to a win against barely any resistance
