Arsenal start their Premier League title defence with a dominant win against Coventry City. This was Cov’s first Premier League game in 25 years and it’s not exactly the kind of return they wanted. They looked okay for the first few minutes, they the Gunners unloaded on them. Calafiori set up Havertz with an easy finish, then Saka was in the perfect position to capitalize on a rebound and Odegaard did what he did against City and made sure Coventry had no dreams of a comeback with a goal in the 48th minute. All those guys played great, but one guy caught my attention the most. Who needs Vinícius Jr when we have Tzolis? Hot damn that looks like a masterclass transfer so far. MLS also continues to show a ton of promise, all those transfer rumours can bugger off! The defence appears as strong as ever and I love seeing Raya back in goal. Although this was great as an Arsenal fan, it was also never in doubt which took away from any drama. Great for Arsenal fans, just okay for football fans.

The best soccer league in the world is back! Unfortunately, it's back with an Arsenal win. After a down season last year, Bukayo Saka gets things started with a goal. Havertz and Ødegaard each scored and Tzolis looked great in his Arsenal debut, unfortunately this team is probably going back to back.

This was not a bad game, but Arsenal was definitely way better. Coventry was in a 2-0 deficit very quickly, and they didn’t come close to recovering. Arsenal added on one more goal right after halftime as they cruise to an easy opening win. There still was enough good chances to keep this game entertaining even if almost all of them belonged to Arsenal
