I’d usually be livid at my stupidity (and I still am), but it’s easy to suppress that rage when I’m laughing at the humiliation of my club’s major rival. Gotta take the victories where I can get them. Beyond schadenfreude, this game didn’t have much going for it. From the beginning, it was clear that Tottenham’s miseries were not restricted to just last season, as despite all the money they spent in the transfer window, they still conceded less than 15 minutes into the game. It's not like they got lucky; the Bees just blew by Spurs and scored a goal that looked easy. 2nd goal was a similar story, except Tottenham also got bullied off the ball and their goalkeeper gave up a juicy rebound. It got to the point that I was genuinely laughing at how bad it was for Spurs. That aside, Brentford made sure this game was a total formality in the second half with a quick goal, and it could've been even worse if Igor Thiago had not missed that penalty. Spurs are lucky Man United lost to Hull.
