This Chelsea squad looks like heaps of fun after a thrilling West London derby at Craven Cottage. I haven't seen the whole Chelsea team as a whole look so attack minded and I think thats a strong look that Xabi Alonso knows will work. Thanks for someone competent. Pedro instantly scored boom. Josh King responds for Fulham. Sanchez sucks but let me recap before I get to him. Rogers with great positioning to smack the second in. Then 4 minutes out of the half Cole Palmer gets his in, going through Bernd Leno's legs. Thats a big 3 right there. Already I see the chemistry. Garcia scored the final goal of the match but Chelsea hung on to secure the three points. This team would look perfect if Robert Sanchez wasnt in between the sticks. He just isn't good and he still gets starting reps. I better see Penders in by GW5 or that will be the big glaring concern with this team. UTC

Fulham put up a heck of a fight in an epic game, but Chelsea was just too much for them. What is the best way to start a match? I’d say a goal in the first 30 seconds is a good answer. Two days after João Pedro signed an extension with The Blues, he scored goal after evading a Fulham tackle. Craven Cottage was silent. I certainly thought Chelsea was about to run away with it. Josh King had other plans. He tied it up and proved that Fulham wasn’t going down quietly. That was the theme of this game. Chelsea would throw a shot and Fulham would punch back. It felt like a massive game. The animosity was certainly there. Reece James bickering with Fulham players was proof enough for that. Ultimately it came down to which team’s attack could take advantage of their opportunities (there were many). That team was Chelsea, mostly thanks to Ice Cold Cole Palmer. He set up Pedro’s goal and scored the winner early in the 2nd half while creating chances with his dribbling. Hopefully he is okay.

Chelsea is able to hold off Fulham as they take a fun one! Chelsea didn’t wait long at all to grab the lead as they opened the scoring in the very first minute! Chelsea was able to ride the momentum of that goal for a while, but it didn’t take long for Fulham to answer back! They tied this game back up, but Chelsea would still have the last laugh in the first half as they hit one home in the final minutes of the half! They kept going too as they waited just 4 minutes to score again in the second half for a brace! Fulham was able to find one answer very quickly, but they had a hard time finding the other one! They had some chances late, but they all came up short as Chelsea hangs on to an exciting three points!

Watched majority of this game, Chelsea looked better then I expected in the first prem game under xavi. The attacking line will be awesome for them this season and I could see them challenging for the league if they can get better goal keeping and more consistent in defence, really impressed with Fulham today, I know it’s just one game but with some shouts of them being a lock for the bottom 10 and possibly relegation I think they will be just fine with the squad and manager they have. Overall great watch

This was dramatic, hell of a start to a new season and the Xabi era, literally, considering Joao got fed a great ball from Palmer 30 seconds in and puts the Blues up 1-0, which started the trend of a nuclear offensive duo between Joao and Cole before he was taken out. Wasn’t really the same for Chelsea afterwards from the 15th minute on for the rest of the first half as Fulham started their attack, but they rebounded in the second half by taking better care of the ball and committing to smarter, less reckless tackles. Robert Sanchez scares me, but we should all be talking about Cole Palmer, just incredible.
