I would have loved to have seen Brighton make a late comeback especially with the possession dominance but at least Brighton got a consolation goal in stoppage time to help on GD😂

We need to get better at defending set pieces. Our keeper can finally catch 😭😭

This was a really fun game, and Brighton definitely gave Chelsea a scare! They did wait until they were down 3-0 though. Brighton cut the lead down to two right after Chelsea got their third goal, and they would make this a one goal game on an own goal less than 20 minutes into the second half! Chelsea did restore the brace soon after, but Brighton was getting a ton of chances to close this game out! They did end up getting one back, but that was one of the very last plays of the game as they do too little too late! High scoring games are fun!

My Blues survive a Seagull scare! That was a great game. Incredibly open, action packed, goal driven, and fun right from the start. Chelsea started the game utterly magnificently going up 3 within the first 35 minutes, but credit Brighton who battled back to make this game a lot more interesting. Some great performances out there today from the likes of Joao Predro, Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, and Morgan Rogers. Attacking wise today my boys in blue were excellent, but still looked very shakily defensively even with new shot-stopper Emi Martinez. Either way a result like that gives me hope, something I haven’t felt under the current ownership. In Alonso we trust, COYB! 💙

I am dumbfounded on how we managed to win this one. Set piece defense was pretty bad to say the least, but you’re also prone to seeing more mistakes in the backfield if you don’t progress the ball meaningfully outside of break opportunities, which was the sum of Chelsea’s 4 goals. Nearly 80-20% ball posession in favor of Brighton. I’ll take the three points, though!

Chelsea just said fuck defense let's win every game 4 to 3. Xabi Alonso was so done with Robert Sanchez at goalkeeper they got Emiliano Martinez and Alonso just told him to go out there and do his best without knowing anything about the team 😭

Brighton refused to die but Chelsea kept putting it on. I had no clue Martinez was on Chelsea, I still thought he was on Aston Villa.

Very nice and fun game

The Chels attack is phenomenal. The defending has not been. Even with new keeper Emi Martinez making debut in goal Chelsea still had 3 go in. One was an og from Joao Pedro, but not the best Ive seen. Still got the three points and Im sure defending will pick up over the next few games.

Forgot to rate this one. If you are a neutral you would say this a great game but, as a Chelsea fan this kinda suck we had a 3-0 lead and almost blew it. Oh well I’ll take the 3 points and move on
