Had high hopes for Val this season that never materialized. This game though they put it together, great drive to stay together even as smu seemed to take it back. Love that Cal could get things straight and expose a very questionable Smu. Smu coach lashlee was ticked at the end but everything seemed fair to me.

Holy crap what a game! Cal would get out to an early lead that, but SMU was not done! They score on 4 straight drives and score 21 unanswered in the 4th quarter, the last of which gives them the lead! The Bears did have a chance to answer and they do with a surgical drive to get the go-ahead TD and SMU misses their field goal! This also creates maximum chaos by sending 5 loss Duke to the ACC title game against Virginia!
