Weird tiebreakers lead to these two teams being in this game. We have seen this match up a lot and it never goes unlv way. Boise state leaving for the pac-12 ends the era of these two teams meeting. Will be interesting to see if unlv can take this conference next year after so many second place finishes.

UNLV is feeling blue on the blue field as Boise State galloped to victory with ease. Boise State took care of business, went up big early, UNLV tried to mount a comeback, got close to potentially making this a nail-biter, only for Boise to own the 4th quarter and make it a formality down the stretch. This game felt weirdly even despite the scoreboard reflecting the opposite. Most likely it’s because of the early lead I mentioned before, but I think Boise did a great job taking advantage of their opportunities, keeping UNLV at a distance while UNLV never quite and tried their damndest to play spoiler. Madsen had a clean and efficient day throwing the ball while getting everyone involved. No shame in that.
