Hawai’i wins the Hawai’i Bowl in dramatic fashion in front of Hawai’i students in Hawai’i’s home stadium in the largest comeback in Hawai’i Bowl history. Cal went up 21-0 before we got through 1 and a half quarters while dominating on the ground with their FBS-worst running game. Yet, the Rainbow Warriors grabbed some momentum going into halftime and carried that over into the second half, completing the comeback right as the 4th quarter reached the halfway point and somehow that wasn’t even the best part. After a long Cal drive that ended in a field goal, Hawai’i had the chance to send it to OT or win it all with 1 last drive. Alejado led the way with his arm and legs, but had to come out due to his helmet getting knocked out and then an injury. Timmy Chang, with his massive stones, looked at his backup, Luke Weaver, said ‘Eff the tie, we’re winning it right here’ and watched Weaver throw a dot for the game winning TD.

Really wanted Cal to win this. But you know what, I respect Hawaii for the comeback they did and this bowl game is great. That was a ballsy call but it payed off.

21-0 wasn't enough to stop them, multiple defensive offsides on a go ahead defensive drive wasn't enough, and losing the star QB on the Gane winning drive wasn't enough. What a game by Hawaii. Very impressive and shows how good alejado is and how dangerous he will be.

What a comeback. Tokyo Toe goes 2/3 and Hawai’i erases a 21 point lead to force OT. 🌈

So hard to put this game into words, I’ve bet on Hawaii alllllllll year so I had to bet on them, I lost 400 dollars the night before so I had to put 800 on them, I never give out picks too, but I put my groupchat of 12 buddies on it and so I had a lot riding, plus I was at a family dinner, with about 30 people who all knew I had Hawaii, so I was getting absolutely abused. They kept sending up the little cousins to tell me how Hawaii suck, but I kept my cool let the game ride out, down 21-0 was straight up depression, and I was worried as fuck. Party ended around 10:30 when they kinda started to come back went back to sleep at my aunts house with my sister and mom….they went to bed during the last drive, probably craziest ending I’ve ever seen, Jesus was going off for cali which I should’ve known. When Hawaii had to put their backup in I was praying to the gods for them to just kick it, then he threw that TD and I screamed and woke everyone up, watched the last drive 10 cm away from tv

Wait the backup QB came in for ONE PLAY in OT and threw a game winning touchdown and Hawai’i came back from 21-0 lead?? It’s a Christmas Miracle!!! 🎁🎄🌺

The ending of this game was a movie, exactly how you want a bow game to end.
