USF fell off so hard man. Started the season by giving #25 Boise State absolute belt and then shocking the world upsetting Florida the next week. Even after a terrible loss to Miami, they still looked like they had potential to be the G5's playoff representative. North Texas was a huge game for them, and they walked into UNT's stadium and put up 63. A couple weeks later, they suffered a very close loss to Memphis, and then the playoff hopes were gone two weeks later without another 3 point loss, this time at the hands of Navy. By the time this bowl game rolled around, they were done. Playoff hopes to playing in the Cure Bowl. Just a tough way to end the season. Byrum Brown is still incredibly talented, and a ton of the USF squad went over to Auburn with coach Alex Golesh, looking to revitalize a completely dead Auburn football program.
