I, and many others, were SO READY to roast Alabama, but credit to Bama, they proved they are resilient and embarrassed Oklahoma while the Sooners collapsed like a planned demolition. The 1st quarter was all boomer sooner. Part way through the 2nd quarter, Oklahoma was up 17-0, Bama hadn’t gotten a first down and it looked like many people would have the largest supply of fuel for their ‘Bama shouldn’t be in the playoff’ arguments. After that, Bama scored 27 unanswered points, Oklahoma completely fell apart and the Tide walk away with a playoff win to add to their long legacy of College Football playoff dominance. In hindsight, while the blocked punt seems like the obvious game changer, I think Zabien Brown’s pick 6 changed everything. Oklahoma was clearly rattled and played like they were replaying that play in their head repeatedly. Their Lou Groza award-winning kicker having his own meltdown was the cherry on top of this all-time collapse. Good story, could’ve been a better game.

If you're a Sooners fan, this is DEVASTATING.
Jump out to a 3 score lead, only to end the first half tied.
BRUTAL FOR OKLAHOMA FANS
A pick six by Mateer, and special teams blunders will haunt the 'Palace on the Prairie' after this one.
The worst thing is, how can you blow this lead against an Alabama team who CANNOT RUN THE BALL- you know what Bama is gonna do but mismanage the game.
Deboer out-coached BV by a mile in this one..
On the road no less!
