I’m going to make a confession. Going into this, I did not get the Pop-Tarts Bowl hype. Yes, it’s a goofy bowl game, but is it really better than the Xbox Bowl or the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl or the Poulan/Weed-Eater independence Bowl (I swear that last one is real). Well, I decided to see it for myself, pulled up the Pop-Tarts Bowl and I finally get it. Not only was this game awesome with it coming down to the final 2 drives and ending with an interception, but it also involved a comeback victory for BYU who had something to prove after barely missing the playoff. More importantly, for me, I got to watch the Pop-Tart show. Yes, I had never seen anything from this bowl prior to today aside from the trophy being a fucking toaster, which is objective cool and funny. We’re clearly all children at heart when we cheer for the humanoid pop-tarts being lowered into the giant toaster and I think that is beautiful. This rating has been given a small boost because of that.

This started as a sloppy game from BYU that looked like Georgia Tech would run away with, but BYU didn’t quit! The defense really stepped up and the offense clawed the Cougars back into this game, capped off by the go ahead touchdown with 2 minutes left and the defense gets the game sealing pick! America’s national championship ends in a BYU win!
