I’m sure everyone is expecting a crash out from me but I will keep it so real with y’all — it is basketball season. Call me Jokic because BROTHER I DO NOT CARE about Arizona football anymore (I cared about this game a little but eh, what can you do when you play that bad). Good season though, I was glad I got to catch a game in person and good luck to all of our seniors. Let the basketball school basketball school for now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know this game is called the Holiday Bowl, but did Arizona think that meant they could treat this like a holiday vacation instead of an end-of-season bowl game? Asking for a friend. Anyway, Arizona got dog walked in the first half, but the 1st half quarter especially. That first SMU drive was a sign of things to come. The Mustangs literally ran circles around the Wildcats. I was fully ready to give this game the easiest red rating since Luka got traded. Then, something weird happened. Arizona started to mount the comeback. It was gradual, wasn’t pretty, but they managed to find their way and get points in the board. If only they were better at 2-point conversions, there was a real chance of winning this. Unfortunately, they failed each 2-point attempt and SMU hung on by a thread for the win. In honour of this game having a bad half and a pretty good half, I’m giving it a 5. Then I took away 0.5 to make sure nobody thinks this game was good, it only got close to being average.
