A defensive war where one offense got dominated and the other offense got MUTILATED. Michael Crabtree and Graham Harrell have to be extremely disappointed in how the Red Raiders’ offense performed. It’s like Texas Tech did a complete 180 in team philosophy compared to the Mike Leach era. Instead of all gas and no brakes, they are now little gas and all brakes. Their defense did their job, they were fantastic, keeping Oregon in check all game long. The only TD scored by Oregon was after starting in the red zone. Oregon’s offense certainly struggled, but the struggles Behren Morton and his offense had were astronomically worse. Not only did they get shutout, they couldn’t protect the ball and they only got into the redzone once, where they almost immediately threw an interception to Brandon Finney who had the game of his life. Keep in mind, JMU scored more points than Texas Tech did in EACH QUARTER against Oregon. Just pathetic. Tech’s defense has a right to be pissed, they did their job

Texas Tech spent over $28 million for this roster and got shut out at a neutral site. JMU traveled to Eugene and at least put up points while it was still competitive. I would love to hear ESPN and FOX’s talking heads continue to try and justify leaving any Group of 5 school out of the playoffs.

New Years is a fake holiday made for you to buy more alcohol and to text your awkward talking stage "Happy New Year". This "holiday" has started us off with a bad Orange Bowl game in the CFP. My National Championship pick played well on the defensive side of the ball which I knew was going to happen. Unfortunately on the offensive side they were AWFUL like CUSA levels of awful. Morton looked like a middle schooler trying to read Mark Twain out there. Oregon played well on defense and did the absolute bare minimum on offense to get the win.

Texas Tech through the first half just looked so unbelievably flat and outright terrible. Maybe the curse of the first round bye is real. Seems like these teams are unable to stay fresh with a 20 plus day layoff. Oregon didn’t look very good in the first half either. Unable to convert on simple routine practices of a football game, but have been able to make Tech pay for some of their mistakes. Also an unbelievable 4th down go for it rate. Second half Texas looks a whole lot cleaner on offense but the mistakes are beginning to add up. The pick the flag on the punt and Oregon is capitalizing. That while Fourth Quarter was just a slow grueling and brutal execution of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. 1st Round Bye teams are now 0-6.

Ducks with several questionable 4th down tries throughout this one, but they got it done. The Red Raiders couldn't do anything right in this one. A 12-1 team should never generate this many turnovers in a single game (4 total). When both teams fail to combine for even 125 rushing yards, it must be a defensive clinic; & considering both teams combined for 10/35 on 3rd down & 4/11 on 4th down, this was an inefficient ass whoopin..

Tech is the first team to get shut out in the playoffs since 2016 Ohio State. Defense played amazing but they just got tired because the offense couldn't do anything. Dylan raiola is going to be Texas tech's started next season. Also Brandon finney Jr 3 turnover legacy game. Hopefully the rest of today's slate is better.
