It’s kind of crazy how wildly different both of the recently promoted teams played in their first match. North Dakota State looked like they were ready, and Sacramento State looked completely outmatched. Eastern Michigan was mostly able to do whatever they wanted. The Hornets did show some signs late that they won’t be terrible with a great touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, but this game was way out of reach at that point. The Eagles get a big win

That defensive performance was like an early 2020s Georgia team, especially in the first half. The offense was great too once they got going. Noah Kim was dropping dimes and Nick Devereaux was making crazy catches and having phenomenal kick returns. Maybe we do have a great season ahead of us after all. Go Birds!!

It was a slow start, but ended up having some good highlights and Sac State gave it life toward the end. It’s gonna be a tough season for Sac State having to travel like that.
Eastern looked solid, the defense was impressive early and Kim showed his experience later on. Possible .500 season for the Eagles.
