McCarthy seems to be turning a corner in his development towards being a starting caliber QB, and I think KOC will be able to get him there by seasons end. Huge win for the Vikings. The Cowboys could do nothing on offense. Dak played himself out of the MVP race with tonight continuing some not great performances against not great teams. You can’t blame Aubrey for missing 50+ yarders when that’s about all your offense can offer him. Cowboys are dead in the water, and next week the Eagles will beat the Commanders to put them out of their misery.

In a matchup between Dak and 9, 9 beat the memes and actually won. But that’s not even half as shocking as Brandon Aubrey missing 2 field goals to cost the Cowboys a chance to win. Despite that anomaly, that will not be my takeaway. The first half was a brief, but very fun shootout. Made me think we were gonna go back and forth all night. That sadly did not happen, but in that first half, Jalen Nailor caught the Vikings’ first TD and took a nasty fall in the process. Luckily it wasn’t anything serious, but he definitely looked winded. The reason I know it wasn’t serious is because he came back and caught another TD in the 4th quarter, this one to give the Vikings the insurance they needed to stay ahead of Dallas. The Vikings are already out of the playoff race, but that doesn’t mean they can’t play spoiler. We even got a fullback TD from CJ Hamm, which is always fun.
