Seeing Rivers out there was just odd but awesome at the same time. I think he did good enough to continue as starter for the season. I hope they can squeeze into the playoffs but it’s doubtful. Seahawks are a tough team this year but this game was t as lopsided as I was projecting it to be.

A kicker winning MVP doesn’t sound so ridiculous when you watch what Jason Myers did today. The story was Old Man Rivers, it’s no Indiana Jones, but it does sound like an old school Cowboy. The old man had his moments, but he, unsurprisingly, looked rusty, especially against one of the NFL’s best defenses. This was a defensive war tho because the Colts defense refused to break. Field goals are all they gave up. It set up the ultimate dream for 40-year-old men on their couch. Phillip Rivers, who literally watched the last Colts game from his couch, had a chance to orchestrate a game-winning drive. He got just enough yards to set up the game winning field goal, Grupe’s first 60 yard field goal. Only for Darnold to orchestrate a heartbreaking final drive and set up Myers’s 6th field goal. It’s like Rivers never left the Chargers. Heartbreak at every turn, including a game sealing interception. It was a great story but great stories don’t always succeed at the might of Jason Myers’s leg.

Sloppy win by the Seahawks, who have a lot to fix on the ground game. If it wasn’t against a team like this, they would’ve had no shot performing like this. Phillip Rivers played admirably, and he looks like a decent option for the rest of the season at QB, but it’s not enough to salvage their playoff hopes. Colts had to have this win, and they didn’t. Hopefully Daniel Jones gets resigned and is healthy next year, because otherwise I don’t see anything good in the Colts future.
