I had a fun time. Some pretty dodgy officiating, TD ruling, one or two PI’s on Jamo, but I’m not complaining because that’s just the game. The thing that let us down much more was no answer for Puka. Even stopping the run was not great. Defense has to be better. Dan Campbell and I have differing views on how to use running backs I guess, I feel like Monty was doing pretty well at the beginning and then hardly ever got used again. Jamo and St Brown both had big games, Goff too, Stafford too, Davante too, big offensive matchup. There were quite a lot of Lions fans in my section, so that was fun. Knew it would be a hard game, glad it was close bc this team really is not good enough.

Stafford vs. Goff, a matchup between the two central figures in one of the greatest win-win trades in sports history. Aidan Hutchinson with one of the most impressive plays I’ve ever seen when he picked off a Stafford pass and nearly scored off it. After that, it was a shootout in the first half, Lions and Rams going back and forth with big plays and touchdowns. In the 2nd half, the Rams took control, albeit with a YD they shouldn’t have gotten. It was definitely short and will be added to the “bad calls that screw the Lions” compilation. Even with that, I will die on the hill that the Rams deserved this win regardless. The tight shootout became a game of catchup for Detroit and they just couldn’t close the gap completely. Puka had a brief injury scare, but seemed okay as he nearly put up 200 yards receiving while Amon-Ra nearly matched him with 165 yards of his own. This was a shootout, but became a one-sided shootout.
