This game had an electric start, ironically in favour of the team not named after electricity. But in the end, the Chargers Chargered all over the place and found a way to hand the division to the Broncos with a loss that wasn’t as close as the final score would make you think. When Cameron Dicker is struggling, you know it’s gonna be a tough day. On the other side, the Texans are legit. Say what you want about CJ Stroud, the man may not have reached the heights expected of him after his tremendous rookie season, but he does his job and helps his team win games. Despite his turnovers, he managed to give his defense an early lead that Houston never gave up. Herbert put up another valiant effort but even his most impressive moments were ruined by some costly drops. My personal favourite was Herbert escaping two Texans pass rushers before delivering a perfect pass to his receiver, only for them to drop the ball. That play was a miscrocosm of this game, but they got hit in the balls first.

Texans were able to build a lead on offense before letting themselves settle in and have the defense play to protect the lead, and that should be their strategy going forward. The defense has the talent that you can afford to do that. Chargers had a chance to win this game and likely their division but they blew it with red-zone picks, 4 missed points off kicks, and penalties at the worst time. They also couldn’t stop the Texans pass rush from getting home five times. Just a poor performance against a team that seemed to just want it more.

Herbert did no bueno, the offensive line is actually trying to sabotage the team and Dicker broke my heart with a very rare bad day today. Chargers will bounce back but that was hard to watch and then the friggin ref at the end must have bet on the Texans or something don't even get me started!

First half’s ending was a roller coaster, But the chargers couldn’t close it out due in large part to Dicker if dicker made those kicks it would’ve been an overtime major playoff implication game but it was just a little too much pressure on dicker which is why I believe he missed his second kick after he missed the field goal.

Weird game. So many weird things for the chargers, including Dicker’s first kick under 40hrs missed and a PAT miss. Two big TD bombs to start the Texans game. Chargers grew into the game shortly after those two big touchdowns and looked good in the second half but ultimately couldn’t get the job done. Almost turned it off after first two touchdowns and I’m glad I didn’t.
