In the 2007 season, the Baltimore Ravens finished 5-11. It was a season that was uncharacteristic for a team that had been elite just last year before losing a heartbreaker in the divisional round. Despite a great season from their elite running back, their offense was bad, partially due to QB injuries. Even more notable was the uncharacteristic bad defense. Sure, they still had the best safety in the NFL, but he alone couldn’t save this team. Despite playing tough against a dominant Patriots team, they suffered some humiliating losses, including a 32-14 loss with 5 games to go, that caused them to miss the playoffs in a wasted and frustrating season. Sound familiar? I’m sure it does, history has repeated itself and the Ravens need to do exactly what they did all those years ago. Fire the best head coach in franchise history and find a new voice. In 2007, that was Brian Billick, John Harbuagh came in and gave them new life. Now, Harbaugh is Brian Billick. Jesse Minter can be next.
