what a heart breaker for the valks. on the last play i was begging for it to be billings and not cec. minnesota got it done (only team to go 2 and advance). gonna be a very interesting offseason and to see who they protect. my guess is burton, thornton, billings, tip if she plays, and maybe chen idk

Natalie Nakase got awarded her coach of the year trophy and the Valkyries made her look like a genius. They controlled this game for the first few quarters and looked very impressive overall. Unfortunately for them; the Lynx also reminded everyone why they were the best team and why Collier is an MVP candidate as she not only made sure the deficit wasn’t too big but she then helped lead the comeback and win the series. The Lynx revenge tour is thriving.

IP-Ask anyone sitting next to me, I kept telling her I wouldn’t get myself excited until I see this lead in the 4th quarter with a lot of time gone. And then I saw it, and believed. My first mistake. My next, BALLING TEARS after this loss. There’s no crying in basketball. For what it’s worth, I wouldn’t have had this experience any other way, except I would’ve made the Valkyries win but that’s besides the point. Everything was great, from the tailgate party up until I left the arena. I think moving forward, this final score will be a teardrop on a beautiful painting. I got to hang out with friends, get hyphy, enjoy every three. Believe! I got to believe! And even though there wasn’t a buzzer beater, I will now rep Violet till I die (or until San Diego gets a team). Kinda hurts a bit more how ahead the Valks were but whatever. It’s the first of MANY for this team. A bittersweet symphony. Don’t ask the ppl next to me about the tears running down my cheek as we chanted GSV one final time.
