The difference here is Lebron. But even without Bron, the Lakers look just as poor as last season, entire offense is reliant on Reaves and Doncic playing lights out. The Warriors are built similarly to the Lakers, but their stars have some help from their role players, the Lakers don’t

Maybe I’m underrating this game because of what came before, but I never felt like the Lakers had a chance, even with Luka’s 40 bomb. As proof of my thinking, I will present this evidence. The biggest lead the Warriors had was 17. The biggest lead the Lakers had, was 2. And that lead came when Luka made the literal first shot of the game. After Podziemski tied it up off a Draymond steal, the Lakers never got a lead bigger than the very first lead they had. Part of that was due to the poor outside shooting all around. Even Luka went 2-10 from 3. Meanwhile, the Warriors, in typical fashion, shot the 3 efficiently. But rather than Curry leading the way, it was Jimmy Butler and his near 20 free throws. It’s almost like the Lakers lack serious depth and Ayton wasn’t the answer.
