This was an impressive road win for Memphis given the circumstances. The Grizzlies beat Minnesota 116–110 as 6.5-point underdogs despite missing a large portion of their rotation, including Ja Morant and Zach Edey. Even short-handed, Memphis played with discipline and consistency, especially in the second half.
Jaren Jackson Jr. was the best player on the floor with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks, impacting the game on both ends. Jock Landale was a major swing piece off the bench, posting 20 points and 10 rebounds in 29 minutes and providing spacing Minnesota struggled to adjust to. Rudy Gobert was strong for the Wolves (16 points, 16 rebounds, 4 blocks), but without Anthony Edwards and Mike Conley, Minnesota lacked reliable late-game creation and couldn’t close the gap. Overall, this felt like a well-earned win by Memphis rather than a collapse by Minnesota.
