Daniss Jenkins legacy game, legendary second quarter. Pistons over the last few games haven’t had a good handle on the ball and haven’t shot the 3 ball very good. Detroit had as many airballs in the first quarter as they had 3 pointers made. Cavs probably played better I’m surprised they didn’t win.

A defensive battle with 1 VERY notable exception. The 1st quarter looked more like the Cavs we saw last year. Shooting percentage wasn’t great but their defense was elite and stifling the Pistons’ offense. Only Cade was managing to beat it. However, at the start of the 2nd quarter, the JB Bickerstaff put Daniss Jenkins into the game and he completely changed the game. Only 7 points less than what the Cavs put in the same quarter and close to half of the Pistons’ 47 points they put up. Jenkins’ 21 points was just the 8th time a Pistons ever scored that much in a quarter and the most ever from a bench player. The 47 points for the Pistons is the most ever in a single quarter for the Pistons. Daniss Jenkins completely changed the complexion of this game. The defensive battle continued after that, but the Pistons hung on for the W
