What a nail biting finish! Like my god I genuinely thought it was anyone’s game up until that gabby Williams steal off of Alyssa Thomas. Would rate higher but the game was really only close in 4th

The Mercury made it interesting down the stretch, but the Valkyries held on for the win. Gabby Williams and Veronica Burton each had 25 points to lead Golden State. Phoenix actually out played Golden State in several categories, but the Valkyries made 11 more free throws and that made the difference.

The Mercury made a good try for the comeback, but Golden State seals it!

So the key to winning everything in the W is to have such a big lead that when you start chipping away at it they’re too late and you get away with the buzzer. Got it, good to know.
