First ever overtime in tempo history, and they take the win. This was a comeback effort from tempo since the suns were having their best game of the season. Slim reached 38 points and they needed every single one of them. Mabrey made a huge steal and plays in overtime even if she was struggling with scoring. Also its amazing how many fans show up and cheer for tempo. Very impressive and fun game to watch.

Too close for comfort, my goodness. The Tempo really looked like they were about to lose to the worst team in the W. When the Sun had that 14-point lead, I was certainly not optimistic, especially without Kiki in the lineup. Luckily Sykes made sure we didn’t go down without a fight. Her and Mabrey were the only ones keeping us in this game. Sykes then officially saved our bacon with a clutch layup to send this game to OT. She cooled down in OT, but got some valuable help to both close this game out and tie her career high in points
With all that being said, this was a free throw fest of the highest order. The Tempo and Sun attempted 43 and 37 free throws respectively. Each are nearly double their per game average. Don’t forget the multiple technical free throws as well. This game was still great and a historic moment as it’s the Tempo’s first ever win in overtime. However, the free throws drag it down from a 9 to a low 8. Aside from Sykes and Mabrey, Juškaitė deserves a ton of credit.
