Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I could deal with losing to good teams like the Thunder, Spurs and Timberwolves and look at it like a glass half-full. “Sure it’s an L, but we didn’t make it easy for them”. I cannot do that for this game and my rating drops a couple points because of my frustration. Maybe Scottie Barnes’s worst game of the season. Yeah, his defense was still great, but his shot was horrible and his playmaking felt off tonight. Meanwhile, Trey Murphy, a guy the Raptors apparently wanted to trade for at the deadline, put up a cool 28 points on great efficiency. Dejounte Murray also reminded he exists as more than just a guy to put on trade deadline reports. He put up a nice 27 points and Zion bullied everyone around him for rebounds. Losing to the Pelicans is unacceptable for a team that fancies itself as a playoff team. Ingram and Quickley had good games, but the entire team NEEDS to find consistency. We cannot rely on one guy to bail us out.
