What a fumble from SAS all three first quarters. In the last 12 min we saw the experience in important game play a big role in the final outcome. With all lf that said I think that SAS fans have so many things to be happy SAS is a real threat especially in the future. For NY congratulations on the W and the comeback shootout to Mitchell Robinson and the work he put on the offensive glass, without the offensives reboundd they wouldn’t have won.

New York is a city of champions! Jalen Brunson is the MVP! Fantastic game as a team from the Spurs as they had 7 players scoring in double figures and looked like they were gonna win this game. Then in the 4th quarter the Knicks flipped the script and took control. Jordan Clarkson with a pair of big 3s early in the 4th really swayed the momentum in New Yorks favor.

I thought the demons of 1999 were gonna haunt the New York Knicks, but no, they managed to overcome them, just for tonight. This was a back and forth affair that neither team could fully pull away from. I was low-key hoping we’d get overtime in the NBA Cup Final. While we didn’t get that, we got a nail-biter down the stretch until the Knicks finally got the best of the Spurs. Wemby still made an incredible impact on the floor, the shift in balance of power that happens when he’s on the court is crazy. Jalen Brunson wasn’t amazing, but he got the job done. OG Anunoby was the X-factor for New York. That 3 with less than 2 minutes was the dagger in my mind. Coupled with his always elite defense and it makes me miss him so much. Say what you want about the tiny banner, but they did what OKC couldn’t, they beat the Spurs in a pressure-filled situation. I’m sure Nick and Mollie are hoping the Knicks do not continue the trend of 1st round playoff losses for NBA Cup winners.
