The Magic cast a spell and burnt the Hive to a crisp before sending the ashes to a volcano. Ironically this game’s rating is going to be impacted by the disappointment factor, but not for the reason many thought it would be. All the talk about how disappointing Orlando has been must’ve ticked them off because just punched Charlotte in the mouth repeatedly. They were up 31 at halftime. So many people, including myself, said that Orlando needed more shots than just slashing to the rim. Well, they got it with 38% from 3 in the first half. That boost combined with their debilitating defense and successful slashing made this game child’s play. From beginning to end the Hornets never had a chance. You know what’s crazy? Orlando’s 3-ball went back to bad and they still cruised to victory. Again, that defense was stifling the Hornets. Banchero also clearly took the criticism personally and just dominated. His dunks and blocks were fun too. Aside from that, what a crappy way to end a fun team.

Wow. Absolute blowout. And now comes to an end a historic rookie season from Kon Knipple. rookie record for three pointers. dude could not miss all year until the play-in came, and unfortunately could not step up when it mattered most. he's still young tho, and he is the franchise cornerstone for charlotte now. its no longer lamelo's team. its kon knueppel's team.

Getting complete BELT from the Magic was not what I was expecting to say the least.
On a real note, I genuinely felt sad for the Hornets. Like you could really tell the Hornets were trying their hardest this game, but the shot was just NOT falling (while the complete opposite was the case for the Magic).
The Magic on the other hand were just completely in control, as they literally just COOKED the Hornets defense. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that, they literally FRIED in the paint. Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but shoutout Paulo, he redeemed himself this game IMO. Like he was just everything you could want out of him in a do or die game.
Overall, just sad ending to one of the most fun stories in the NBA this season.

This was an insane showing from the Magic's defense as they closed down on some of the best shooters in the League. Seeing the performance of Bane and Bitadze as they stopped so many crucial points in the game was really surprising.
I know it can be quite disappointing for the Hornets as they are quite electric when they are allowed to turn on. However, today showed that when not allowed to do so they can't find the power in themselves to pivot enough until fouls started taking out key pieces from the Magic around the end of the 3rd.
If you enjoy watching the defense from a team then I would say this is the most defensive game I've seen in this year's play-ins so far. On the offense things are also quite wild as the Magic went 38 and 30 in the first half.
Definitely one for the books in my eyes even if I wished to see more out of the Hornets, but the Magic paid back with their amazing physicality.

This game was over in the first 8-10 minutes. Hornet looked like they didn’t wanna be there and the Magic wanted it badly.
Attended this game at Kia Center and the Magic brought life back to the city of Orlando and the Magic crowd. If Paolo Blanchero plays as physical as he did today, that Pistons series is gonna be longggg
