Elite game to finish off the 4thquarter. Harden with 27 and Strus legacy game, 6 for 8 from three going into overtime. And man oh man Cade Cunningham. 37 in regulation.
And then in overtime, Donovan Mitchell was ON FIRE! Got the bucket that gave them their initial 4 point lead then drilled a 3 and rolled in a layup in quick succession to take a 5 point lead.
But of course, Cade Cunningham would not back down. Drilled the shot to make it a two point game, so close to being a three. The #1 overall pick a few years back, he just never seemed to be able to break through into the superstar Detroit expected him to be until this year but he has now stepped up a ton.
Ultimately, it was Harden’s offensive rebound off the free throw and a couple missed threes by the Pistons that buried them. Harden missed 3 crucial free throws but ultimately the Cavs were able to hang on, breaking the streak of home teams being 11-0 in their playoff run so far.

The end of regulation and OT were anticlimactic otherwise this had the potential to be in the low 9s. Harden is once again proving the naysayers wrong. Danis Jenkins and Lavert had wide open looks from 3 and both were clankers. Pistons gotta find a way to get one in Cleveland or else the Knicks are back in action and hosting Game 1 of the ECF on Sunday 👀

this jalen duren fall-off is wild and the only explanation I got as to why it’s happening is his ass must’ve got jordan poole’d man. but then i was thinking who the hell on that pistons team would be dumb enough to go square up on Jalen. and then it hit. Beef Stew. Isaiah Stewart absolutely did that shit.
cade has another great performance and daniss jenkins had a good night as well. spoiled by a classic harden performance. onto game 6
