The Cavs chopped up Detroit
This is tied for 8th largest blowout in a game 7 in all of NBA playoff history. It is just the 9th 30-point blowout in a game 7 ever and 7th since the 3-point line was first added to the NBA.
The Pistons were held to 35.2% shooting, which is one of the 25 worst shooting percentages in a game 7. The Cavs didn’t even shoot particularly well, just well enough to turn their great defensive performance into a historic blowout.
Cleveland out-rebounding Detroit by 17 in game 7 is only the 12th time it has happened since the NBA-ABA merger. If we include the rest of NBA history, it’s the 22nd time it has ever happened.
No matter how you look at this, Detroit got absolutely schooled.
