The most highly anticipated Western Conference Finals since 2018 (shoutout Emily for pointing that out). If this game is a sign of things to come; we are in for one of the best playoff series ever and a certain Alien is about to throw his name to the top of the ‘best player in the NBA’ debates. San Antonio immediately showed that any exhaustion that could’ve carried over from the Minnesota series wasn’t going to play a factor as they took a big early lead. OKC got the rust off quickly and tied it up before the end of the 1st quarter. From there, it became a battle that eventually came down to the wire. Shai and Wemby going back and forth until SGA showed why he won the Clutch Player of the Year by tying the game up and sending it to overtime. In overtime, Wemby clearly had enough and refused to let OKC leave with a victory. It started off slow for him, but when he hit that 3 from the logo, it sent a message and his performance in 2nd OT sent a bigger one. The Alien is taking over.

Without a doubt in my mind, we’ve just experienced a classic. Oklahoma City has won the last eight games. They’ve had two straight sweeps, and the power of friendship, which is actually the power of demonic intervention, just zipped, there was no answer for that man. It’s so sad. But not for me!

About as good as a basketball game could possibly be. It feels as if these two teams have many great games and series ahead of them. Haven’t been confident in the leagues ability to stay relevant post-Bron/Steph/KD but Wemby is everything they need to keep the product moving forward. He is appointment television. An alien in every sense. We are witnessing history. What a game.

Oh my God what a game to kick off the series Mr dpoy the alien scored 40+ points 20+ rebounds being the 2nd spur to ever do so whilst the "mvp" for the thunder was an embarrassment the the mvp title, at the start of the game spurs lead 12-3 and in order to come back they had to bench Shai 😅 lmao, this was a great double overtime game Wemby dunking everytime he had the chance Stephon Castle getting some crazy highlights and Wemby shooting VERY deep 3s in overtime I've never been happier to be a sports fan!
and the spurs over the thunder isn't the only highlight of my day because every single sports game went my way today (the ones I actually care about) Spurs Wings Padres and Canadiens all won last night! What a day to be a sports fan

Absolute f***ing banger. Just back and forth through the end of regulation. Caruso absolutely carrying the Thunder. A 40/20 game from Victor Wembanyama and casually hitting a three from the damn logo he really is an alien. Stephon Castle assisted him a ton leading him to a triple double of his own, albeit less impressive. 7-0 run from the Thunder after falling behind in the first OT but it just stayed back and forth the entire time.
The Spurs young flaws got exposed in this one. Castle and Harper made some very costly mistakes in this one but ultimately it ended up being okay, as the Spurs pulled away late and pulled off the victory to take a crazy game one. This and the Habs-Sabres game 7, an absolutely legendary night in sports- tune in to A’s Angels potentially for another addition to an already amazing night.
