The Spurs built up a big lead in the 1st quarter and actually kept it, it’s a bloody miracle. Jokes aside, the Spurs did what they had to. They shut down OKC and hit their shots. Sounds basic, but they had been struggling to do both post-1st quarter throughout this series. If they can repeat this in game 7, there’s no reason they can’t steal this series. Speaking of bloody, this game was a massacre. The Alien had 0 interest in going home. 28, 10 and 3 blocks certainly help with that. For me tho, I think the bigger part was stopping SGA. Keeping him under 20 points and most importantly, off the free throw line, limited OKC’s offense. They shot under 40% from the field and under 30 from 3. Those splits don’t happen without San Antonio’s defense and their offense putting the foot on OKC’s throat. Aside from Wemby, Castile had a great game and Vassell made a big statement when he stuffed Chet at the rim despite the obvious height difference. Praying game 7 is an all-time classic.

THUNDER NO LONGER ROLL!!!!
Maybe not the game 6 we all expected, maybe just in my opinion. Vibes were off by the first quarter and the Spurs just ran away with it. Because it fits, here's an excerpt from one of my English essays when I was a junior at Syracuse.

This game was GREAT!! Okay maybe not but that dunk from Carter Bryant was pretty cool and Wemby decided tonight was the night he wasn't gonna miss 30 3 pointers hopefully we can carry this momentum going into this next game GAME 7! altho we still need to practice holding the ball we definitely did a lot better this time but still needs a bit of practice, OH AND GUESS WHAT the spurs went the route of standing back from Sga and letting him shoot it so they don't foul him AND IT WORKED BOI WAS MISSING SHOTS LEFT AND RIGHT AND DESPITE FLOPPING IT WASN'T GETTING CALLED we very much need to carry that defense on going into game 7 let the MVP shoot he won't make it anyways 6.8/10 yk damn well it's only rated this high cause I'm a spurs fan

Ladies and Gentlemen this is it... the moment all fans during the entire 2026 season has waited for. Game 7. On one end an alien with a tract to destroy all in his path. While the road this series has been rough he has shown time and time again why he is the best player on the floor. The defense has been SUFFOCATING by his team which at its core is just beginning to reach the potential you know is there.
On the other side the team which has been to the mountain top before. SGA the reigning and defending MVP of the league looking to prove why him and the deepest team in the league should move on and continue to climb. A team which has seen heights of offense never reached before and pressure on defense just has unseen. This team has seen the challenges and pressure of this kind of moment... and more. They look to hold that Larry O'Brien one more time cementing the dynasty.
The new versus the old. The reigning versus hunting. The Alien vs The MVP.

Saturday night (Sunday morning my time) can’t some soon enough. I’m ridiculously excited yet horrendously dreadful.
Whatever way you cut it, this series deserved nothing else than to go the distance. Game seven is bound to be one of the most consequential games of NBA basketball in recent memory. Go Spurs Go.
Side-note: Dylan Harper could’ve easily gone first-overall in the draft.
