I’m not gonna act like the spurs played great basketball today, but NOBODY should get to shoot 17 free throws in a game. I mean nobody.

pretty non-competitive game as thunder looked in control practically the entire time. whatever they did to make wemby look non-existent out there absolutely worked. the refs were interesting to say the least. i thought they called a lot of weak calls on both teams.. both teams shot over 30 free throws... but then also allowed them to play pretty physical at other times and not call what looked like obvious fouls? would like to see better consistency. chet really stepped up that first half when shai struggled shooting

Spurs have never been in a situation like this, and unless some divine intervention comes, they ain't digging out of this hole. Nuff said.

Huge win for Oklahoma City in this one. Another game where Wemby just wasn’t on his game. When Julian Champagnie is your best scorer the likelihood that you’re gonna beat the Thunder is very low. And now every game for San Antonio is an elimination game. SGA had one of his best games this series and was the difference in this one.

Even though it feels wrong, it’s hard to not call this a blowout. It felt like OKC always had the edge on San Antonio. Sure, in the 1st quarter, San Antonio held a pretty good lead early, but just like every single game in this series, OKC recovered quickly and made the 1st quarter close by the end of it. Then the Spurs could never fully close the gap. They got close, including a 9-0 run in the 2nd to make it a 1-point game. OKC then proceeded to take a double digit lead at halftime. The Spurs never made it that close again. That sense of inevitability drags down the game slightly for me, especially since the Thunder had a double digit lead the entire time so I couldn’t convince myself the Spurs still had a chance. To make matters worse, these are the kind of games that people think of when they think of OKC at their worst. I’m sure Shai got legitimately more than a few times, but man, it is not fun watching the MVP shot 17 free throws, regardless of how many are deserved.

Back and forth we go as the Thunder pull past the Spurs to take a 3-2 series lead. I find it quite absurd how that was not a goal tend on the Thunder at the end of the 3rd quarter. Also missed a challenge call by the Spurs but who am I to complain. Should be an entertaining game 6 in San Antonio.

Very suspect refereeing in this one. I'm not sure what to make of the blatant disregard for Mitch Johnson's challenge on what is so obviously a goal tend. Also did Wemby put out a hit on Jared McCain at the end? That is not the way of the Monk, Victor!! Shame on you!!!
