I guess a broken clock is right twice a day, so by that logic, which is a pretty smart quote by the way, I’m going to take the Knicks in six. Wemby can chime twice, but there’s no way he’s putting his hands on or near KAT. If I remember anything for being a young boy watching Kentucky, KAT is not easy, also remember anything between being a young boy watching Minnesota, KAT is not easy, also if I remember anything from the last few games, I’ve watched of the Knicks, KAT is not easy. Other than that, he has his work cut out for him. It must be hard being so young and having to hard carry your entire National Basketball Association team so deep into the postseason, especially when they are not worthy of it at all. We could have a real team there like the Los Angeles Clippers, or the San Diego Clippers, only offered as Wemby deserves a break. I’ll make some calls if he ever gets bored, it looks like the poor kids dying out there already. At least he has his books!

Huge shots from De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle in this one. Of course, a much much needed win for San Antonio. But the Knicks never gave up. OG Anunoby immediately got the ball and drilled a three with 9 seconds left. Stephon Castle yet again stepped up, hitting both of the two biggest free throws of his life to this moment.
The two main reasons I don’t think the Spurs will win this series:
1- Victor Wembanyama. He was great in this game, with 32 points. But those huge shots, they were in the hands of Castle and Fox. Wembanyama is supposed to be that guy. The guy that you go to with the game on the line to make it. And he just hasn’t been that guy.
2- Their inability to hold a lead. The Spurs have had a double digit lead in the second quarter of every game this series. And every game, it has vanished in a matter of minutes. They need to continue to get that momentum early, but they need to tighten their grip and not let go.

Fitting the Knicks would make it as hard as possible for the Spurs to end their winning streak. San Antonio got a massive win that likely saved their chances. Even though there are definitely things you could say from the officials, it would be wrong to not credit the Spurs for stepping up, which started and ended with Wemby. It appears drawing in a park may have helped him as he was fantastic in this one. The Knicks wall didn’t prove to be as effective when there’s a guy who can just reach over it. Not to mention he creates his own moving wall on the defensive end. Wemby couldn’t do it on his own against this Knicks team, so Castle stepping up throughout the game and Fox finally waking up at the end was massive. Although I’m happy this series isn’t going to be a sweep, my heart goes out to OG who may have had the best game of his career only to have it happen in a loss.
Also, shoutout to New York for giving Trump his deserved welcome by booing him any chance they got. Good on y’all

This is my first take ever talking about the refs. I normally don’t even bother cuz I barely understand the calls. So for ME to comment on this, means its major. (To me, personally) Brunson took not one but TWO low blows from Wemby and Castle and the refs did absolutely nothing. Honestly APPALLING. Diabolical ref job in this game. Now, that I got that off my chest… 😤 the game was actually very fun to watch. Nick and I flew to New York to be one with the city and even with the L we had a great freakin time. Happy to be here and excited for Wednesday. Knicks in 🖐️

The atmosphere and energy inside MSG was uneven and not what I was expecting given the gravity of the situation. 27 years since an NBA Finals game and you would not know it in the 4th quarter with the crowd. Disappointing. I’m grateful I didn’t spend the money on this and watched with our friends instead. The officiating was so bad. Numerous brazen fouls that (Wemby & Castle on Brunson) were completely blown, bizarre whistle on the delayed substitution, the inconsistency (Spurs 24 FTs to Knicks 8) in the 2nd half. Still that shot making from the Spurs was clutch and not something they had done in the last two games. Kudos to Castle and Fox. Game goes green because of the people I was with and the place we were watching from. Seems like Wemby’s drawing in the Park was a big ol sign that says “KNICKS IN 5”.
