BACK TO THE CUP. Canes looked dominant in the first period. Instant switch in Period 2 after Canes take a dumb penalty. 30 seconds later, 2-2. Barkov masterful play in the O-zone to give the Cats the lead (4-3). Intense final 3 minutes on 6-4 PP

The clear cut memory from this game was obviously, Florida moving on, but specifically that Barkov assist on Carter Verhaeghe’s goal

I’m glad the last game of this series actually featured some back and forth hockey. At least we can move on to a final which should be at least a little bit more interesting

Solid effort by the Canes but costly penalties and lack of size and experience doomed Carolina in this series. When Florida is playing their game they are very hard to beat. Excited for the Fianls!

It was a lot like Game 6 against the Rangers last year. Carolina choked when it mattered most. Love to see it.
