Maybe I’m overrating this because this was night and day compared to the last game, but I don’t care. This game was great Even better as a way to get me excited for the regular season. Flames went up thanks to the dynamic duo of Kadri and Klapka along with Gridin proving that he deserves a shot with the Flames. Wolf looked great but the Jets managed to tie it up, mainly thanks to Nyquist. The OT was kinda meh, but I got a lot of entertainment just from watching Kadri desperately trying to get a shift change for like a minute. Then the shootout was really good! Back and forth, even got to see Costco’s signature move. But it ended with perhaps the craziest shootout goal I’ve ever seen. Somehow snuck through Wolf’s gear.
