Classic Rangers. Outshoot their opponent while getting a good performances out of their goaltender and yet, they still find a way to lose. Although that is admittedly an easy narrative, Charlie Lindgren was fantastic, making multiple crazy saves and keeping the Rangers off the scoreboard to secure his first shutout of the season. On the other side, Quick did his best to match Lindgren which gave us a nice goalie duel, but all it took was one well place deflection from Beauvillier to grab a lead the Caps would never give up. Ironically I would honestly tell you the Rangers were getting the better chances (by a slight edge) until the Rangers pulled their goalie. The sliver of hope the Rangers had got snuffed out by Lindgren.
