This game was The Blues vs. Kiefer Sherwood. Blues got contributions from pretty much everyone, including 2 goals from Snuggerud. On the other side, the Canucks almost completely relied on Sherwood who not only scored all the goals, but got more shots on goal than almost any other Canuck. Despite Sherwood’s best efforts, he couldn’t beat the Blues on his own. This game also reasserts the importance of Thatcher Demkp as Lankinen didn’t look sharp. Not bad, just not great. For the Blues, besides Snuggerud, Schenn and Neighbours played a big part in ensuring Vancouver could never catch up to St. Louis. Binnington did just enough to shut the door on any Canucks comeback. This was kind of a weird one. It ended up being one-sided, but I never got that feeling until the Blues put in that empty netter. It’s like watching a scale slowly fade to a side that’s like 5 pound heavier.

Sherwood was electric, testing out the new goal celebration again.
Lankinen did not look great, but it’s good to give demmer some recovery. But it does seem like a lot of cap for a clear 2G. The top O line was invisible, and it seems like hughes has yet to find his game this season. A difficult watch as a canucks fan, seemed like not too many players wanted to be there.
