Made the spontaneous decision to drive from school all the way to the game tonight and it was not bad.
Despite it being a disgusting loss to a bad team all the goals were fun and it was fun to see the Sens in person again.
If we could get any saves we probably make that game look a lot better, especially when it was 5-4. Poor Leevi

Lots of ups and downs. The storyline of the Buffalo Sabres being on a 3 game losing streak to start the season and the Ottawa Senators being up to a slow start made it all the more interesting. That’s right, both these are coming off of a rebuild with players that most people would say are talented. Yet, the Sabres haven’t made the playoffs in 14 years and the Senators although they made it last year, hadn’t made it for a long time before that and lost in the first round. This match had a lot at stake. You could tell the moral was starting to drop within the Buffalo Sabres organization. The fans wanted Kevin Adams fired and on the Ottawa side, after making the playoffs, you don’t wanna get to a slow start and let your fans believe it might’ve been a fluke that you made it in the playoffs last year. To summarize, the game was full of action, hits, scrums, and a rollercoaster of emotions! The storyline between these two teams elevated it to the next level.

There was 0 good goaltending in this game. The Senators tried to make this interesting and they nearly succeeded, but the Sabres pulled away. Clearly, they were saving all their goals for this game as the Sabres maintain their streak of never starting a season 0-4-0.
