A great goalie duel between the best American goalie and Connor Hellebuyck. Jokes aside, this was a much better performance from my Flames. Probably the most complete performance of the season so far. We even got the return of the Ras Stare. Dare I say the Flames outplayed the Jets in this game. Don’t get it twisted, the Flames didn’t dominate, but they had the edge by my estimation. So of course we found a way to lose. Wolf was great with a much needed bounce back game for his confidence. But Hellebuyck was a brick wall. Saving his best saves for Joel Farabee who had a great night overall. The well timed counter attack and Scheifele finish was the difference maker. We got a butt clenching finish thanks to a late Jets penalty but the Flames couldn’t do anything with it. Disappointing loss, but much better performance as a whole. Perhaps indicative that Sharky and Miro weren’t helping.
