The hockey gods give and the hockey gods take away. That first period was very strange with each team getting a goal only for it to be reversed. Third time was the charm though as the captain Anze Kopitar finally broke the deadlock. Evander Kane would tie it up shortly into the 2nd period setting us up for a goaltending duel. Both Forsberg and Lankinen were rock solid in the latter 2 periods and overtime. In the end, it was Michael Adrian Kempe who would win it for LA and add to Vancouver’s misery. That goal was the climax of a wonderful game from the extended man. Quinn Hughes was magical as he always is, but I honestly thought the Kings had the advantage all night long. If not for Lankinen, they wouldn’t have gotten the loser point.
