DUSTIN WOLF SHUTOUT and Calgary’s first win against Utah ever. This game had an explosive start with a goal from Sharky seconds in and then not much else happened. Flames very clearly came in with a game plan to slow down Utah’s speed and skill. It was not pretty but it worked. I was more stressed than I really should’ve been, but it was the good kind of stress that has little impact on my life and made watching more fun. I mainly wanted the Wolf shutout and I got it, yay! His lateral movement is insane. I would say there was basically nothing interesting outside of crazy Wolf saves, but Rasmus Andersson continues to make his case for the Olympic team and raise his trade value. He had an all-world play at the end. With Utah’s goalie pulled, he cut off the pass, took the puck, cleared the zone and set up Zary for the empty netter. Epic stuff from him. But everyone on the Flames better thank Wolf and give him that blazer. AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
