Man, this game was weird to watch. Skinner getting put on a poster by his former team, just fricken hurts man. McDavid slapping his pads there was crazy, like bro you dont rush past 2 defenders and score then do that. Idk man this might be my last rate, fitting I think. I'll probably switch to a different account, idk man 😢🫡

In the rare goalie-goalie trade matchup, the Oilers’ lack of confidence in Stuart Skinner does not come back to bite them in the ass. The prophecy came true as Leon Draisaitl got to 1000 points with an assist on the former Oiler goaltender. Certainly doesn’t help Skinner when McDavid slices and dices passed the Penguins skaters in front of him. I do not care how many times you watch that in practice, that has to be both intimidating and hard to stop. Crosby, chasing his own milestone, was so close to catching Lemieux’s point total in Pittsburgh. He got an assist, but just couldn’t get anything beyond that, despite Jarry not playing great himself. Both offenses were genuinely cooking. It’s easy to say neither goalie played great, but it would be more accurate to say both offenses were having a field day. It happens. Penguins lose their 6th in a row and it turns out that even when they don’t have a lead in the 3rd, they can still lose games.

Draisaitl gets to 1000 points, what an accomplishment. Mcdavid is buzzing these past few games, unstoppable. I feel bad for skinner, not sure why Pittsburgh would have him play his first game for them against his old team with 1 practice under his belt. Jarry looked good but let in a couple weak goals, but oilers defense also let him down in the later stages of the 3rd period. Bit of a sleepy game
