This was a pretty fun win for the Valkyries! The entire first quarter of this game was very close, but it would be the Tempo surprisingly pulling away in the second quarter! Golden State went on a long scoreless streak, and Toronto would hold a lead as big as 13 points! The Valkyries didn’t let it last though! That lead was all gone by the end of the half as this would be a solid race to the finish! The third quarter stayed pretty close even though Golden State definitely had the edge, but the Valkyries really pulled away in the last 10 minutes. The Tempo had a pretty good push for a comeback right at the end, but nothing came of that as Golden State gets a nice win! The Valkyries weren’t quite as dominant as I expected though

I had my pick streak riding on this game and was a little worried. Wasn’t really loving Golden State being down by 13, but it was early. They had a nice run to close out the first half and I knew I was in a good spot. Their defense usually keeps them in games and then when their shots start falling, look out. Mabrey seems to have fallen back to earth a bit and wasn’t the dominant factor she usually is. The Valkyries had plenty of bench production from Salaün (21 points) and Hayes (12 points). Thornton was good too with 20 points. The big difference was on the offensive boards. Golden State had 15 offensive rebounds to the Tempos 5. Nice game by the Valkyries.
